Be unique. Be creative. Be authentic.

As a talented athlete, you need to carve your identity sooner than later. The most remarkable athletes in the world, have an incredible ability to craft a very memorable persona. The aspect of someone’s character that is presented to or perceived by others.

Your persona should be your signature, your uniqueness, your trade mark

Those who know you should instantly have a word association when they see your photo, watch you perform, or hear of you. Be that for better or worse, you should be ever diligent in your activities and communication, public or private. For each of us, every day is a fresh opportunity to establish our credentials of honesty, progressive thought, and positive influence to ourselves and others. A past missed step is not a legacy that should burden yourself for the rest of your life. Reviewing what others identify you as should be a cause of celebration and sincere reflection. As an athlete, you are in the present yet creating your future from second to second. Make it a positive experience.

In this world of noise, you have only this second to shine.
So, what are you waiting for? Draw the line in the sand and make your mark.

Spot on! Making a name (or more of one) while you’re on top will set you up for the future. Quiet as kept, there is a small window before you have to reintroduce yourself to the world. Might as well capitalize on it while you can right?
